Balsamic Brussels Sprouts

1 pound Brussels sprouts
1/4 cup avocado oil*
5-7 cloves garlic, sliced
Celtic sea salt
freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Trim the hard edge of the stem from the Brussels sprouts, then cut in half.  Oil a large skillet over medium-high heat.  Add sprouts, cut side down, and toss in garlic, salt and pepper.  Cook until sprouts begin to brown (5-10 minutes), then drizzle with balsamic vinegar and stir.  Season to taste.  Cover for about 5 additional minutes and allow sprouts to soften, while retaining bright green color.  Remove from heat and enjoy immediately.

*If using olive oil, keep heat to medium, and cooking time may take up to 30 minutes.
